If the police didn’t have guns then the gun couldn’t have been used against them...right?

Most of my lib friends on Facebook are silent. No opportunities to blather on about gun control here.

Someone dropped the ball here big-time. Usually, suspects in court have their hands shackled in front of them and there are other security measures to prevent this very occurrence from happening.

Do we even know why he was in court or what charges he was facing?
Was it a violent crime?
Whatever the case, he obviously became a combatant in the war on police.

I sure hope the bailiff who compromised their firearm isn't a 5'1" female 'charity hire' or I'm gonna be pissed. If you're open carrying and not a tad paranoid and vigilant at ALL times around other people ESPECIALLY CRIMINALS than you should not be serving in that capacity.
BTW, was this perp being escorted and not at all restrained prior to his attack?

Hard to believe a bailiff lost their firearm to a prisoner unless they weren’t using a level III retention holster.
