I driven through that area during the day time when going to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception/Catholic Univ.. It was iffy at best during the daytime and this Leftie fool was there middle of the night. His Social Justice Warrior mindset got him killed. Given the demographics of the area one of his beloved minority pets went rogue.

Mr. Mercat and I rode the metro from the Mall to CUA in the middle of the day. Scary. We took an Uber home rather than go back to our RV camp (on the outskirts of town) at 9 p.m. on the metro. Oh my goodness isn’t the basilica beautiful? We went there for a talk by a famous Canon lawyer (can’t remember his name LOL) and then spent over an hour walking around the basilica. Wow

Being shot multiple times suggests to me something other than robbery. Maybe I’m wrong but I suspect a thief would run after hitting the guy with one shot. Struggle for the gun? The guy doesn’t look or sound as if he had it in him.
