Yesterday, before I knew any police were injured severely, I said: “Police should have video that zooms in on the faces of every single thug at these riots, so they can later identify the criminals who initiate violence. This was assault with a deadly weapon and battery. The violent rioters should be locked up for at least a decade each for their crimes.”
Whether they are good at aiming and actually cripple their targets, or bad at throwing and miss, anyone who threw an object capable of causing injury at the police belongs in prison for a long time. The one who actually hit this cop deserves at least 20 years behind bars, and I’d prefer life without parole for him.
