Yup, me too...
I thought the Remington 700 was a turn-bolt, not a straight-pull. Learn something every day.
My husband bought my rifle from a gunsmith in Cody who makes custom rifles. The barrel is 100% Remington but the rear end of the rifle is custom and so is the stock.
I hate to say but having never used a normal version of it I’m not sure how this is so much better but my husband insists that it is. I just know that I hit what I aim at with it.
Day old bread is cheap, I wonder about day old scopes?
That’s pretty cool. I’ve never owned a straight-pull rifle, so I don’t know how different it would be to use one. I almost had myself talked into a Swiss Schmidt-Rubin back when they were cheap.
Some husband there, too, to buy you a custom rifle. I’m sure you appreciate him. My wife is, alas, not interested in shooting and would have no idea of what I’d like in a custom rifle. But I love her anyway.
AS I understand this, she is saying a dangerous assault rifle can be easily turned into a safe hunting rifle by buying and fitting a scope to it, Good to know, America's assault rifle problem solved.
