WARSAW, PolandRussian aggression, radical Islamist terrorism, the refugee crisis, Brexit, Afghanistan. The list of challenges NATO leaders faced at the biennial summit here over the weekend was diverse, highlighting what some consider to be a post-Cold War moment of truth for the alliance to prove it still matters.
Speaking to reporters Saturday, President Barack Obama addressed what he called a pivotal moment for NATO.
In the 70 years of NATO, we have perhaps never faced so many challenges at once, Obama said. Were moving forward with the most significant reinforcement of our common defense at any time since the Cold War.

Funny - the so-called “refugee crisis” was directly caused by Clinton and Obama, using NATO to turn Libya into a failed state and with their proxy-war with the Saudis in Syria.
But now they’re going to fix this problem which suddenly appeared, as if from nowhere.
Yeah, sure.
In what seems completely backwards to my Cold War upbringing of 80’s movies against the Russians, I am on the Russian side. They seems to be the only ones who want to eradicate radical Islam, which many estimates say is 1 in 4 muslims.
Let's see, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Berlin Wall.
Obama talking out of his ass, as usual.
It started with NATO’s involvement in Kosovo and bombing Serbia.
I agree, its hard to process. Putin is no angel, and Russia often seems to default to its old statist, communist ways. But the West's progressive, left, crony-capitalist leadership definitely seems intent on taking Russia down. There's been steady encirclement outside, such that NATO is now having exercises literally on the Russian border. Georgia, Ukraine, Syria - were all operations meant to remove these places from Russian influence. Internally, the West promoted the gay rights and Soros' "open society" agenda, no different from #BLM here, to sow dissent and confusion. Putin saw it for what it was and shut it down.
Well, you would expect the “Russian threat” to take center stage at a NATO summit meeting. Without the Russian threat, what would be the NATO rationale for advanced weapons procurement, advanced weapons research and development, NATO think tanks, NATO bases and base support, etc.
Same here. As someone who grew up during the cold War hating the Russians, I cannot believe how my opinion of Russians have changed. I now side with the Russians over Europe (at least they want to kill the Islamic nutjobs and hate the destruction of the traditional family) and actually believe that an American President is much more evil and less respectable than the leader of Russia. WTF!!!
The center of Warsaw here was shut down on Friday and Saturday.
