I think Trump made his choice weeks ago, and put the ball squarely into Mike Pence’s hands to decide. I think he did, as Trump is scheduled to go to Indiana tomorrow.
I think it’s a fantastic choice!!!!

I can live with Pence, he was one of my 1st picks for Potus over a year ago. However, the last time we had a good man ( he truly was ) from Indiana for VP the Press eviscerated him, and that was Dan Quayle. How do we prevent Pence from being (sadly it now a verb) being Quayled, or do we leave that to Team Trump? They have proven themselves to not be shrinking violets, so he may be in good hands...
Help carry Ohio? Perhaps, but IMHO Trump has got a lot of work to do to carry Michigan, it is winnable IMHO... He needs to start by visiting Wayne Assembly (look it up), possibly the tour guided by Bill Ford or Mark Fields and mend some bridges...

A good solid choice. Just like Trump.
I can’t see any downside.

Where’s all this coming from? As far as I can see, it’s just another newspaper report claiming to know something. Two days ago is was a different report and another guy and they knew something, TOO.

The primary ended in Indiana, the general might as well start there. I’m ok with that choice.

Can Pence run for re-election as Indiana governor and for the vice-president spot at the same time? Otherwise you would be asking him to choose between a virtual certainty of being re-elected governor and the relative uncertainty of being elected vice-president.

I like Pence and at one time thought he would make a decent VP for TRump.
But now, I do not see how he helps Trump beat Hillary. He is not the attack dog needed to over come Hillary, the Democrats, the GOPe and the media. Plus I see Pence as a loyal water carrier for the party. Like most of the GOPe, party first then country.
My guess is, Pence is on the short list to replace Trump as the nominee or to insure the GOPe self serving prophecies of gloom & doom if Trump is the nominee.

NO. Weak-kneed. We need a real leader, not a guy who runs and hides in terror from the Gaystapo.
To: nikos1121
Highly Illogical
I think he would be better served continuing to serve as governor of Indiana.

Pence is the logical choice -- if you want to lose the election.
He's the governor of a state that's voted Republican 9 out of the last 10 elections (not a swing state). He's got a rep for caving to the homo-lobby without even the semblance of a fight.
He'll sure fire up the base... (yawwwnnn).

While in Congress he belonged to the Congressional Internet Caucus, International Conservation Caucus, Sportsmen's Caucus, and the Tea Party Caucus. Icing on the cake... Maybe Trump can find some other job for Newt...

I actually listened to Hannity’s opening monologue this afternoon and he made a compelling case for th Newtster.
I know I don’t want Pence. But Trump talking about how one anti-Establishment guy is enough has me thinking he’s made a deal to secure the nomination by taking on a GOPe hack like Pence.
Oh, well.

Keep in mind that he did veto the religious freedom bill which came to him last year.
