Well, that’s disappointing to hear.
I liked the idea of Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, then I started to wonder where he stands on the issues, such as Second Amendment Cnstitutional rights, illegal immigration, the wall, muslim immigration, taxes, etc. etc.
I could like him if he switched parties and became a conservative Republican, but that remains to be seen and is a big “if.”
Maybe he would be better as SecDef.

He'll choose whoever he sees fit. Don't expect Trump to kiss the rings of single-issue interest groups. After all, Trump knows that pro-lifers can either vote for his ticket or stay home and watch Hillary Clinton become the next president.
I believe that Flynn is being vetted for Secretary of Defense. VP would be a horrible use of Talents and a political disaster. A fine General has no political skills in todays world. Picture Fly in a political debate regarding illegal aliens or Chinese currency devaluation.

Mike Flynn is a wonder leader and I support his talents in command. He wouldn’t last 15 minutes with the hounding media. Spare us this merciless onslaught. We need a person well used to the oral combat of policy ideas, A man you understands what Trump doe not, Washington and give us a leader that can step right in if our president can’t. Give us NEWT GINGRICH. The crowd will go wild with glee.

Flynn’s been a democrat all his life. It’s only going to take a slight surface scratch for that ‘Rat core to show through.
Based on this write up of his article on ABC, he seems to be strong on illegal immigration, but he is not specific as to the wall. However, he is liberal on social issues like abortion and marriage.

Yep. As I said on the other thread, there is a reason he’s still a Democrat. Some people acted like he might just not have changed his registration. No. He’s a smart man. He’s a Democrat because he agrees with them on more policies.

I don’t know Gen Flynn’s background, but I would imagine they have this PC crap beaten into them until parroting it back becomes second nature. Especially if they want to advance in rank.

Flynn would have to wait until 2021 in order to become the Secretary of Defense I believe. I think its 7 years from the date you resign/retire to be eligible.
