Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick has ordered the Texas flag be flown at half-staff in Texas after five police officers were gunned down in Dallas in an ambush assault Thursday night. Soon after, President Barack Obama ordered that all U.S. flags also be flown at half-staff. The fatal shootings took place when someone opened fire at the end of a peaceful protest over nationwide officer-involved shootings.

But not in DC I bet.
In DC, the Rainbow Flag probably remains at the very top of the flagpole.
This clown has divided the country and made sure that we are sliding into third world status.
The flag has not flown low so many times in any other presidency.
In 2016 I’ve seen more days with flags at half staff than at full staff.
Thanks Obama!
I remember a time when the flag was only to be lowered upon the death of a president, senator, congressman, or ambassador. Someone bring me up to speed on flag etiquette please. Not to diminish the lives of these officers, of course, it’s just that the flag is almost never fully raised for more than a couple weeks anymore....
For once DUMBO did it right.

IF you do not have a flag pole but a house mount that can’t be lowered you can attach a black ribbon to the Flag.
I bet someone wrote it for him and said better say this DUMBO to appease whitey.

As normal, Obama leading from behind....
That motive will never be known, but the Flag was not ordered Half Mast for all the Military who were KIA in the USA or drowned or the Blue Angel pilot death.
I attached a black ribbon to our Flag, as we have a House mount and can’t be lowered to Half Mast for them.
Great idea. The flag my folks fly 24/7 can’t be lowered but putting a black ribbon on it sounds like a nice idea.
Our building’s flag is always at half staff for something or other. we should just default our flags to half staff daily, and then on the 3 or 4 days annually nobody of note dies, we can raise them to the top. Would be simpler.
From what I read there, my memory isn't far off at all. It would appear that the lowering of the US flag for the bulk of the honorees of the last couple decades has been incorrect.
Again, not to diminish the memory of those that have died, but the US flag being lowered is/was meant to be of enormous significance, and it's been trivialized now to the point of being a yawn-worthy daily occurrence.
I like multiple sources too. It was one I’d looked up before when some of our Military were killed. We are a Ret. Military family, hubby was career Navy, Ret. SCPO.
It sure wasn’t meant to honor a criminal who committed violent acts.
This stuff keeps up even mumia will have the Flag lowered for him, if they ever get this killer of a Police Officer executed. Well over 2 decades, time to put this animal down.
Time we stop calling Police Officers, Cops too it is almost synonymous and derogatory as calling them PIGS.
