Here’s my message to this twerp: You are delusional and dangerous and to be considered an enemy not a principled hero - just a poor dumb bastard who has lost his sense of what is dangerous to do.
He’s free to not go to the convention as a delegate if he refuses to do the one thing his job entails.
“I know but my question is why would they even ask him that question.”
A question designed to smear Trump, to make him seem shallow and untrustworthy, to cause doubt about him to arise in the minds of people who would vote for him.
Get Him Out!
It actually was kind of comical. Out of the blue the reporter asked him that and just looked in the camera, and threw back a kind of closed mouth smile.
Got the message. My you’re morons who want Hillary to win.
NOTED!
“...Cruz is making peace with Trump...”
That’s only an assumption at this point.
Cruz will be speaking at the convention, but that may not have been up to Trump. Seems there’s a rule (40b) that guarantees the second place finisher a speaking slot, as long as they also passed the eight state threshold.
I haven’t yet heard a single kind word for Trump out of Ted’s mouth, so it remains to be seen what he’ll do at the convention.
This guy, who went by the name of Beau Correll at the Virginia 10th congressional district convention at which I was a delegate, openly ran as a Cruz delegate (each of VA’s 11 congressional districts elected three delegates and three alternates). He was elected as a full delegate (Cruz’s people won all three full delegate positions in my congressional district as well as first and third alternate delegate positions (Mick Staton, mentioned in one of the posts above, is one of the Cruz alternates); Eugene Delgaudio, a colorful former Loudoun County supervisor, was the lone Trump supporter to win anything, and he got second alternate position).
This situation illustrated the problem with Trump’s ground game. While he got something like 35% of the votes in the March 1 primary (Rubio finished second; the delegates were allocated something like Trump 17, Rubio 16, Cruz 8, Jeb 5, with 3 delegates going to the party hierarchy much like the ‘Rat superdelegates), Trump had an inferior operation at most of the congressional district conventions, and thus most of the people representing Virginia in Cleveland are Cruz partisans.
I’m not sure that the Trump people fully understood that not only did they need to win the primaries, but they also needed to have their people elected to the convention as delegates. That is why Trump is in the predicament he’s in. Winning the primaries did not mean that he got to hand pick his delegates in most states.
Hildy is an AZ Delegate to the GOP convention. She received a call from Delegates Unbound. Post by Hildy, and contact info for this group in case you wish to give them a piece of your mind.
I called them Banana Republicans, and more.

The NYT’s set up a scenario of that circumstance in a stupid interview.
Trump, obviously joking, answered, “I’ll let you know.”
Hope that ends the rumours.
