Great analysis. By the mood of the nation, numbers and trends, a Trump victory would appear to be aligned.

I also concur that the almighty prognosticators and pollsters are WAY OFF and disengaged from metrics that can't be gauged.

There appear to be two ways I see Trump failing to beat a sloppy, distrusted, despised Hillary:

1) Monumental digital Voter Fraud.

2) Declaration of Martial Law.

1) no one is “lacksadaisical”

2) even many in the wagon really don’t want to be there, especially if they see the wagon heading over a cliff.

After what happened last night Donald Trump better become President..The NeverTrump people, get off your behinds and vote for Donald Trump..you dont like him, TOUGH NOODLES..guess what, there have been plenty of GOP candidates I didnt like and I voted for them anyway for the better of our country. Would they rather have the kind of garbage we saw last night, is that who they want running our country, Hillary Clinton, Obama, Holder, Lynch, BLM, they are all intertwined with ISIS, notice at BLM protests they always show up with ISIS and Pro Palestinian flags..they are all ONE. For our countries SURVIVAL vote for Trump please or else say goodbye to America

I think another trend indicator is how many times polling groups are being caught over-weighting Democrat samples just to keep the race competitive.

Cankles will get CA. Trump would have to overcome a 9 million vote margin (from 2012), which has likely increased since then.

I just don’t see how that’s possible.

He will make NY closer, but lose there. But I agree with most of your others.

In the beginning was the plan.

And then came the assumptions.

And the assumptions were without form.

And the plan was without substance.

And darkness was upon the face of the workers.

And they spoke among themselves saying,

“It is a crock of shit and it stinketh.”

And the workers went unto their supervisors and said,

“It is a pale of dung and none may abide the odor thereof.”

And the supervisor went unto their managers and said,

“It is a container of excrement and it is very strong, such that none may abide by it.”

And the managers went unto their directors, saying,

“It is a vessel of fertilizer, and none may abide its strength.”

And the directors spoke among themselves, saying to one another,

“It contains that which aids plant growth and it is very strong.”

And the directors went unto the vice presidents, saying unto them,

“It promotes growth and is very powerful.”

And the vice presidents went unto the president, saying unto him,

“The new plan will promote the growth and vigor of the company, with powerful effects.”

And the president looked upon the plan and saw that it was good.

And the plan became policy.

This is how shit happens.

I've noticed a surprising trend to sanity and responsibility in the news lately

Perhaps some of our would be revolutionaries are having second thoughts and are getting cold feet on their plan to destroy the country from witin now that their long march is getting close to the finish line

Perhaps the useful idiots are waking up and realizing the end results of their idiocy

Nice post. Hope you are right.

And some advice to Freepers who like to dig into Poll Internals:

1. Keep doing it.
2. Report back to us what you find.
3. Watch out for wacky D/I/R distributions.
4. Watch out for polls of “Adults”. They always favor the Dems.
5. Watch out for Registered Voter polls. Right now that’s most polls and they are always biased a bit to the Dems.
6. Watch out for the Likely Voter polls. They are as unbiased as we will find but relatively rare at this point in the race.

Or perhaps insurrection and social justice suddenly aren’t so cool when they’re about to bust down the doors at 30 Rockefeller Center.

>>>I once read a study that showed that democrat turnout is nearly a constant.

I believe that to win nationally, Dems must have very high turnout in some key groups: blacks and single women/unwed moms. Hence their predictable “war on women” and race card each election.

I was hoping that black turnout would be down after Obama, but I think recent events are brewing a different outcome.

Have you seen a Hillary rally lately? For the ones that aren’t empty rooms besides her campaign staff and reporters, the only people that show up are frumpy overweight middle-aged women. She may have that demographic locked down, but I don’t think they can make up more than 20% of the electorate.

I don’t know. A reporter on FNC was just speaking about some protest somewhere that fizzled out and only a couple dozen people remained. He said the black people all went home shocked and disgusted by what happened in Dallas. It was the little, white snowflakes who were still standing around whining and throwing tantrums.

I have mentioned before; driving my town I see ten-to-one Trump and Bernie signs... no, none, no Hillary signs.

I see in my extended family droves of people who are normally pretty apolitical who are over-the-moon for Trump and have been since the day he started his campaign. I’m a Cruz guy, Trump was always my second choice, but I was completely outnumbered in my family. Mention Trump, and everyone gets excited. Mention Cruz (when he was still in the race) and eyes glaze over. “Yeah, he’s good too... but Trump!!” :)

Even now, mention that Trump is on TV and people stop what they are doing to go see what he has to say. They have never done that with any candidate ever. This is the entire extended family. I can surf the Facebook world and you have to go pretty far out in the extended family to find anyone who isn’t for Trump and then its a few rebels who are for... Bernie. No one for Hillary.

In a fifty-fifty country you only have to shift a handful of voters to win, and I see Trump shifting boatloads of them. He has had a lot of help, granted, from ISIS wannabes, and people like Lynch and Comey have also been very helpful.

I said from the beginning that this is a Repub year, anyone from GOP could win. But if it is Trump, it will be a blow-out. Clinton’s only chance involves major felonies and a psyop propaganda war on steroids... Which she and her handlers are well capable of. The most certain they are of a Trump victory the uglier this is going to get.

They don’t have to be registered to vote.

All they have to do is show up at the polling place with the name of a member of the Deceased-American voting bloc in whose name they will cast a proxy vote.

Unless they do all of the polling at Walmart

I see plenty of lackadaisical Trump supporters who so want to believe that he will win that they cannot tolerate the least little bit of he may not win.

Find me some EBT card carriers, government union members, alternative lifestylers, Obama phone users, aggrieved minorities, subsidized Obamacare recipients, etc..who will jump.

Yeah, when you see Repub primary turnout way up, Dem turnout way down, general interest across the electorate way up, and Trump holding a 2 to 1 advantage among independents, it’s hard to picture him losing. But the Dem’s have “demographics”, which means millions of drones many of whom may or may not be citizens and/or literate.
