THAT, my friend, is a more useful and relevant statement.
Well, that won’t be Hillary.
Eliminating taxes required to cast a vote didn’t wreck fiscal discipline in the nation.
Too many Congress critters make far too much money and wield far too much power because of the way the system is set-up now.
That and the power of the pulpit is about all he has short of rule by threat. Reagan had the same problems but he wasn't ever as powerful as Trump will be, because he is beholden to none of the GOP.
I also predict that the GOP will suddenly discover that they had the power to stop a president dead in his tracks, all along.
Please elaborate. I would very much like to hear your explanation as to how this did not occur.
My own perspective has me realizing that the "War on Poverty" (21 trillion in direct expenses so far) was specifically launched to flip all of the newly created voters (in 1964) to the Democrat party through a deliberate vote-bribing scheme, and it worked magnificently.
Thereafter, the newly elected Democrats embarked on a campaign of routine pork-barrel bribing to ensure their continued election.
The evidence seems clear cut to me, so I would very much like to understand how an alternative theory could possibly be correct.
I haven't even gotten into the additional costs associated with the "War on Poverty" such as the creation of millions of fatherless children who turn to crime, and the associated costs of their victims and incarceration.
I'm thinking it likely doubles that 21 trillion in direct costs with these additional indirect costs.
