I think we need to start treating Japan almost like we treat Israel, as an indispensable ally in their region.
Uh, Obama's White House has been trashing Israel over the last 7 years. I hope we don't treat Japan as badly as that.
Yes we should but Congress wouldn’t sell the F22 to Israel either. It would have been better for us if we did to keep the production lines open and at the same time increase our inventory. Now Congress has asked the DoD to identify how much it would cost to reopen the F22 lines again and purchases another 190 a/c. If this does happen hopefully Congress will reconsider selling them to Japan, Israel and Great Britain.
