(CNN) Nearly two days after a suicide truck bomb ripped through Baghdad, families are still hoping that rescuers searching through the rubble can locate the bodies of their loved ones.
The Saturday night attack on a busy shopping district was the deadliest single incident in the Iraq's war-weary capital in years, killing at least 200 people, Mohamed al-Rubaye, the deputy head of the security committee of the Baghdad Provincial Council, said on Afaq TV Monday.

We should have never gone into Iraq. We should have fought the war in Afghanistan, and stopped all Muslims from coming here.
All it will do will help Donld J. Trump and his bid for the White House.
just watched a story on BBC about Iraqis taking back Fallujah and the Iraqis are just leaving the dead ISIS in the rubble to Rot
Would love to correct him right in front of his face.
Much of this blood is on Democrat hands especially Obama’s.
And on McCain and the other RINOs.
To correct Mr.Obama by saying that it is being according to their playbook.
You weren’t wrong. The plan eas to bring them here all along. Saddam had the weapons and the Russians relieved him of them. There had to be some alternative place for Muslims to live and with todays weapons there is no safe distance.
In reality, this is so much worse than Orlando or even Paris.
Muslims were killing other Muslims. Not in combat, but civilians, and the selection of target was purely indiscriminate. Death and suffering was the only identifiable objective, it mattered not if the persons who died or were maimed were Sunni, Shi’ite, Christian, Jew, Yazidi, or even another ISIS member, the body count is way of keeping score.
But there are so many BILLIONS of persons in the world, taking down a few hundred here or there, still takes a long time to tally up even a million.
If annihilation of the human race is the objective, then they are just going to have to step up the pace a little. Of course, before they got very far along with that strategy, there is almost certain to be a little push-back.
We know the rules of engagement. But it is also incumbent to know the RIGHT targets to pursue.
Agree. I said that from the start. When Iraq started I figured the only reason was to put in a base re: Germany to control the region. That would’ve been smart. Anything else was destined to be a fail.
IMHO, the government of Iraq should shutter any “madrassa” that receives funds from the Saudis or the Iranians. IMHO, they should close those assembly-lines where human “bomb-guidance-systems are “developed”.
The Iraqi government should also broadcast some public-service TV commercials that mock “suicide-bombers” as fools who, as the Koran says, have self-assigned themselves to Hell by killing observant Muslims.
Oh! Did I mention slathering the bombers “remains” with bacon fat and feeding that slop to ravenous hogs?
IMHO, if those fools come to suspect and fear that the next stop after their deaths will be eternal damnation instead of “Paradise”, then maybe those Jihadi wannabees will decide to NOT “buy a ticket”...
Leaving them in the rubble might mean the Baghdad govt isn’t going to repopulate the city? Carthage treatment?
hey like Ovomit and Lynch said give'em love ...pendajos jerkoffs!!!
I’d think that 99 if not 100% of the dead were Muslim.
ISIS isn’t terribly discriminating. You’d think every country in the ME would be united in scouring them from the Earth.
Musr be. Because I ain't heard it yet.
We should have nuked Saudi Arabia.
I never called names, but I really thought that Bush had a geopolitical strategy in mind, namely to surround Iran. Turns out it was just...something, but certainly not a strategy. I was wrong.
The Bush's are responsible for the Muslim surge as much as Obama and Clinton are.
