Guy named Scooter Libby went to jail for “outing” a non-covert “agent.”
No, not even for the “outing” - which he didn’t do - that was Richard Armitage.
Libby got caught up in a bizarre, trivial “perjury trap” in which his recollection of one trivial detail conflicted with the recall of the journalist Tim Russert. What Libby was persecuted and jailed for was unbelievably minor compared to what Shrillary and her associates have demonstrably done to abuse and misuse secret govt. materials, thousands of times.
Scooter Libby was NOT convicted of outing anyone. He was convicted of giving false testimony to a Grand Jury. Richard Armitage, Asst Sec of State, outed Valerie Plame, and the Federal Prosecutor, Mr Fitzgerald knew that, and decided not to go after Armitage.
