I see parallels in how muslims treat women to how the US government treats it’s patriots.

Always the question remains : “Why don’t they overpower their oppressors ? Why won’t they unite and bring down the local groups first, then the larger groups later ? Why won’t they resist ? Their assailant sleeps soundly in their beds, and they wear burkas which completely blend them into a vast society and street network.

And like us, we too share a house where our assailant sleeps soundly under our watch. We too can blend in with the street fair and we can - technically - do it.

But like the love that these women feel for their husbands, we feel a love for our oppressors. We love our enforcers unconditionally. We pray for the safety of our countrymen who would pick up a phone and have us killed gleefully.

I used to think it was ridiculous until I finally realised that I’m no different.

If the police were called to do door-to-door things, I wouldn’t fight. I mean seriously... the police wouldn’t do THAT would they ? Her husband might be mad, but it’s not like he’s going to drag her into the street and put a knife to her throat right ?

It couldn’t be THAT bad, could it ?
