ussia and Turkey will “coordinate” their policies over Syria, the countries' foreign ministers said on Friday, in a major diplomatic realignment that could be a major blow for the Western goal of ousting Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.
The announcement came after the United States acceded to long-standing Russian policies by offering a military alliance with Moscow against jihadist groups in Syria, another realignment towards Vladimir Putin's stated goals in the country.

Exactly. If Turkey abandons ISIS (and the rest of the Al Qaeda militias) then the war ends. Putin is the big dog, and Obama is left looking like what he is.
If the Turks give up on overthrowing Assad, that leaves Russia and Iran in the drivers seat all across the middle east.
Assad, like the late strongmen in the region, is not Mr Clean, but his ouster would open the door to human waves of neck cutters in Europe and Israel.
It would appear that the White House desires that outcome.
Amazing the change that Turkey has adopted now with Russia and Israel. Leadership does matter.
After this the Russians own Iran. Russia does not tolerate rivals well.
I dont think putin wants Iran to star a war with the US OR give ISIS a nuke, which would start a war if it went off in the US.
We wanted the worst guys to win. Thank goodness we didn’t succeed here and in Egypt.
