Even if he does win the primary (fingers crossed NOT) he'll be damaged goods. It would be an HOR seat worth losing in November if it's Ryan.

That’s how I read it: Ryan getting scared. Also, Wisconsin has wide open primaries; Dems and Independents could vote against Ryan simply by showing up.
If Demorats cross over, it will be to vote for him, not against him.
