Seriously. In the pre-internet era the annual chance to see 50 girls in swimsuits was the whole reason a young guy would even tune-in.
I guess they discounted my recommendation to replace the swimsuit competition with the fully nude competition. Drats.

I dunno... What passes as athletic wear is a hell of a lot more revealing that what they used to wear at swimsuit competitions.

I don’t think this will last for many years. Most young American girls are proud of being in good shape, proud of knowing how to style their hair and wish to strut their stuff. They themselves will defy this rule eventually, though probably not this year.
If Hillary were American Premier, she’d make them all wear pantsuits.

The one time I caught a glimpse of the Miss Teen USA was during the swimsuit and I found it disturbing. Don’t want my teen daughter to strut around in a bikini before horny old men.
