A mob of starving people advanced on the presidential palace chanting, We want food. They were met by soldiers and police dispatched by the tyrant from his lavish palace decorated opulently with a golden sun, giant rock crystal mirrors, sparkling chandeliers and towering oil portraits.
The scene wasnt 19th century France, but 21st century Venezuela.
And if you are wondering why you havent seen it on the news, its because Venezuela is a Socialist disaster area that was once being used as a model by the left. Now its a place where the vast majority of people cant afford basic food staples and a third are down to two or fewer meals a day.
Obama laughed and joked with deceased monster Hugo Chavez, who handed him a copy of the anti-American tract, Open Veins of Latin America that had even been disavowed by its own author. Obama called the book a nice gesture, but Eduardo Galeano, its author, had told an audience that the left commits grave errors when in power.
Venezuela, once a wealthy oil state, where the doctors offering universal health care have no medicine and starving people loot government stores looking for food, is yet another example. 50 people are dead in the latest food riots. Their graves are yet another grave error of the left.

They can have Bernie if they want...
He’ll get it RIGHT this time... just wait and see.... this time, it’ll WORK.
The only good byproduct of socialism is it cures obesity.
Let them eat cake.
Let them eat toilet paper...
And Caracas is the most violent city in the world. Beats Chicago.
“And Caracas is the most violent city in the world”
I thought it was Johannesburg. Lots of them,I guess.

Thanks for posting this excellent article.
....am I supposed to feel sorry for the people of Venezuela?
People like me RANG WARNING BELLS and WAVED RED FLAGS when Chavez appeared.
And we were laughed at, mocked, made fun of and called racists.
So I all can say now is: enjoy your starvation.
But it’s okay. The American public hungers for its own Hugo Chavez if it makes you feel any better.
It’s going to be fun to watch it happen here too. Not so much.
The people who support Maduro get first crack at the food.
Is that how socialism works?
I thought everybody shared equally.
And the press in the US makes another Scotch and water and tells themselves they can’t cover this because their bosses might get mad at them.
Our brave, brave press.
Let’s all make a pact to eat them first.
More media blackouts this year than any time in my memory. They are in full court press all over the world.

Change ‘Venezuela’ to ‘America’ and ‘Chavez’ to ‘Obama’.
Yes, we all warned, but the idiots and fools put him in power.
But they were going to get their utopia and all that free stuff, what leftist or parasite could refuse.
I am starting to think the old ussr did a remarkably good job of holding communism together as long as they did with a few real accomplishments.
That's really the truth of it.
They never “held communism together” in the former USSR. They stayed in power through murdering tens of millions and starving the same amount. They established a country wide secret police and sent anyone accused of anything to die in the gulag.
The people lived miserable lives of fear, hopelessness and despair. A tiny elite ran the country.
