Basketball legend Shaq O’Neal arrives in Cuba today for a four-day visit, sent by [BO] as a special ambassador for the sport, reported dpa news.
During his stay the four-time NBA champion will meet young people from the island to promote improved relations between the two countries through sports.

What really is sad, though, is that so many have bought into the LIE that Obama cares about making the Cuban people free. All of this has done nothing but enrich the regime.
From everything I have seen, Shaq O’Neal seems to be a pretty cool guy so I don’t want to put any criticism on him as a person. However, I have my doubts on his ability to be a foreign ministry advisor for another country. As the OP says, seems like a political stunt or “diversion to keep subjugated peoples from protesting their lack of liberty.”
The Miami media, so eager to paint Obama’s Castro suck up as a success, is applauding this photo op.
Sure wish Shaq would see he is being used.

Haha, yes his basketball skills are another thing as well. He does well for the role they put him in... which is effectively a body to block and dunk. It’s frankly comical whenever anyone fouls him because his free throw percentage is horrible.
I agree, Shaq seems to be a smart man with a good heart.

WHY??? And how big a part did the Diocese of Pittsburgh play in arranging this trip??

actually sport today is far more than play
American football at all levels is ritualized antiseptic war fare. to a lesser extent but still war, are basket ball and hockey.
Internationally, soccer is war but on a much lower physical scale
