Didn’t Terry Paulson once work with the Smothers Brothers?
“Freeing the delegates to vote their conscience will not ensure that Trump will lose. In fact, since most of the delegates would have been selected to support him, many will continue to support him. If he truly has the positions and principles needed to Make America Great Again, hell earn the delegate votes needed, even if theyre free to vote for someone else. Earning their nomination in an open convention will help bring the doubters on board.”
OK, let the delegates free to vote their conscience. Does anyone think that if the free delegates select Trump, that the GOPe and the NeverTrumps will be satisfied? Do you think that George Will will rejoin the Republican Party? That Erick Ericson will shut up?
Is Tim the son of Pat Paulson?
You can sh!t all over his Facebook timeline. I refuse that place out of far more principle than TP has about anything.
TP has Twitter too but hasn't used it since December.
Yeah there is dude. At the bottom of the article, look for the shaded thought bubble on the right, click and it will take you to the Disqus(t).
Every one of these articles begs the questions: Hasn't Trump legitimately won the delegates that will put him over the top on the first ballot?
Even if they say, "Vote your conscience," won't the majority vote their conscience AND Trump on the first ballot?
Is this all just a bunch of drivel to to make happy George Will and that ilk?
If they vote their conscience AND Trump, will Will and that ilk come around?
Somehow I doubt it. Who are the ones with principles?
Seems appropriate - maybe the Republicans should read it.
THE WRATH OF THE AWAKENED SAXON
by Rudyard Kipling
It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.
They were not easily moved,
They were icy — willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.
Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.
It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.
It was not suddently bred.
It will not swiftly abate.
Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.
