Will somebody please define what a globalism is?

The way that I understand Trump is that he wants the USA to make equitable trade deals with other countries, basically win / win trade deals for all countries who deal with USA.

And these deals will be based on powers which the states have delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, evidenced by the Constitution’s Commerce Clause (1.8.3).

The way that I presently understand globalism is that evil international bankers are pushing for a one world government which Clinton arguably supports.

The major constitutional problem with the US surrendering its sovereignty to corrupt, international bankers is this. Regardless that the unconstitutionally big federal government now regulates INTRAstate banking, the writings of Thomas Jefferson show that the delegates to the Constitutional Convention had actually decided against giving the feds the specific power to regulate intrastate banking.

“A proposition was made to them to authorize Congress to open canals, and an amendatory one to empower them to incorporate. But the whole was rejected, and one of the reasons for rejection urged in debate was, that then they would have a power to erect a bank, which would render the great cities, where there were prejudices and jealousies on the subject, adverse to the reception of the Constitution [emphasis added].” —Jefferson’s Opinion on the Constitutionality of a National Bank : 1791.

So please point my pinhead in the right direction.

Think of GLOBALISM as EU on steroids.

No nations, borders, national identity; unlimited immigration. Un-elected bureaucrats issuing endless orders about how you live. National economies subjugated to the will of elites, for their own enrichment.

I could go on and on...

“Will somebody please define what a globalism is? “

Others may have answered this question for you, but I would like to weigh in with my own take on the Globalism concept.

I know that when I have questions like this for FR I get a lot of “well DUH” types of answers and nothing is really brass tacks. So here goes.

I’m not a movie buff, but I find it’s easy to compare and contrast reality with a movie. If you recall the movie “The Fifth Element”, there was a “President” of the whole globe. This guy ran the entire planet and represented the democratic will of all human beings and residents of the earth. The Military in this movie answered to him at the top. There were no more wars because there was only one military (This wasn’t stated in the movie, but it’s assumed. If there is only one country then there is only one army). A president like this would be able to rally an entire species behind a single effort. Like the Mangalores. They were an alien race with touchy relationships with Earth. Sometimes attackers, sometimes uneasy, un-liked residents.

People look at this sort of scenario as a dream scenario. This is where a human being is allowed to go anywhere on the surface of the planet, and live in any region they wanted to. They would all be residents of a single community. There would be no cultural insults, no racism and no intra-personal conflicts. Just everyone with the same opportunities, background and level playing field.

On paper this reads like a utopia.

Now lets return to reality. Think of the Global Earth Government as “The UN”. The UN wants to rule the whole planet. They were established under the pretense that everyone is equal and together we could eliminate all of the individual armies and unify under a grand army. All of our currency would be the same and we would be able to travel to other (former) countries without showing papers, and freely as we wished.

This sounds sorta like the Euro Zone, doesn’t it ? Under the Euro borders were blurred out and people could travel around the beautiful countryside with a single currency, single idea of cultural behavior and a unified law.

To play devil’s advocate I’m going to assume that the intent of Globalization is benevolent. I’m also going to acknowledge that the job is no where near done.

What we have are not nations of people and leaders coming together to make people more free and more capable. It is not actually producing more opportunity or success. You can’t pass a law that makes everyone more successful. You can only pass laws that limit people. And all of these countries with their hundreds of laws and regulations came together to create one super country with thousands of laws. And if you didn’t agree with the law, you would have to gain popular movement (Through votes) to get your voice heard... only now with 10 times as many people needed to make the democratic change.

Being an individual with brilliant ideas now makes you so powerless and unable to enact change that you are on the same level as a slave.

Regardless of who is in power, there is no escaping this. Without the compartmentalization of people and their culture, your person and your culture will be forever terminated and lost.

I have heard a lot of people, on both sides of the table talking about how Trump isn’t “one of the globalists” and that he instead is “his own version of globalist”. I used to think the same thing too. I used to think that Trump will be a globalist, but he’ll make sure that his kids and grandkids are living in the leadership country. And that ... I don’t think that’s the point here.

It would certainly create a lucrative legacy for the Trump family - which is Donald’s goal (Read Art of the Deal. IT’s not stated in that book, but it will help you to understand that Trump will improve America because of what he has here... his family.) but there is something deeper and more long-lasting in the position of leadership through example instead of leadership through title.

Another movie to think about: Terminator 4. John Connor isn’t the head of the resistance. He’s just a general of sorts. But more people follow him than follow the leadership because of his character - not his title.

America can be and should be that nation once again. Trump isn’t looking to annex the world, he is looking to build a medium sized nation up to a level where the world listens to us and respects us. That is FAR more profitable for the people, and Trump’s grandkids.

What is the truest definition of Globalization?
Answer: Princess Diana’s death.

An English Princess with an Egyptian boyfriend crashes in a French tunnel, riding in a German car with a Dutch engine, driven by a Belgian who was drunk on Scottish whisky, followed closely by Italian Paparazzi, on Japanese motorcycles, treated by an American doctor, using Brazilian medicines.

This is sent to you by a Canadian, using American Bill Gates’ technology, and you’re probably reading this on your computer, that uses Taiwanese chips, and a Korean monitor, assembled by Bangladeshi workers in a Singapore plant, transported by Indian truck drivers, hijacked by Indonesians, unloaded by Sicilian longshoremen, and trucked to you by Mexicans who are in the US illegally because the current president, born in Kenya and educated as a muslim in Indonesia refuses to enforce US law.

There are many here who confuse global trade with global government

global trade as practiced by thousands and thousands of companies both huge and very small from many nations is not the feared global government that will control all life on the planet.

Excellent explanations already given. But to me, globalism is the elite taking all our freedoms and making the rest of us servants to the elite. It’s those who think they can set up a world where they are the only ones who has power over everyone and everything. Much like lucifer tried in Heaven.

The money you earn would be theirs, the children you have would be theirs, the job you have would be assigned, and your life would be defined for you.
