The people of the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union, which means that European tourists can no longer easily travel to London to catch a flight to Costa Rica.

So why is it that I,a US citizen, can easily travel to Toronto/Montreal/Vancouver to catch a flight to (insert city here)?

And why is it that Canadian citizens can do the same in NY/Chicago/LA etc?

London was a hub before the EU existed, and I’m sure it still will be after they leave the EU. I don’t think England is going to forbid Europeans from transiting through their ports just because the UK isn’t part of the EU.

They can catch a direct flight from Paris to Caracas, then hop over to Costa Rica from there.... or, if they prefer, there’s even an AF flight direct from Paris to Havana... then it’s a short hop to San Jose.
