Syria strike: Russia unleashes lethal aerial arsenal on Aleppo

Hannah Lucinda Smith, Catherine Philp The Times 12:00AM June 23, 2016

Russia is breaching international conventions by dropping incendiaries similar to white phosphorus on to residential neighbourhoods in the Syrian city of Aleppo in what is thought to be the prelude to a ground assault to retake the city from rebel forces.

Photographs have shown what experts believe to be a thermobaric bomb, the most powerful explosive apart from a nuclear weapon, being detonated next to urban areas, with potentially devastating effects for civilians.

Russia 'caught out' using incendiary weapons in Syria by its own channel Russia Today

Good for the Russian Air Force.

This hotbed of Jihad and ISIS. It’s their capitol. They burn people in cages. They drown them. They throw them off buildings. The beheaded a 4 hear old yesterday and made the mother wash her hands in the blood.

And the west get a fainting spell when Russia uses the wrong weapon against them and “violates international norms”.

Out military lawyer infested leaders and politicians are like that traitor senator in 300. Disgusting wretches. I never thought id be proud to see the work of a bomber sporting a red star.

We should be too ashamed to whine that someone is using the wrong type of bombs on Raqqa.

And I bet people in Hanoi are really trying to figure out why they were worthy of Linebacker II B-52 carpet bombing, but ISIS isn’t.

Christ-rejecting Muslims are going to burn for an eternity in Hell anyway. Might as well give them a head start.

I wish we HAD carpet bombed Hanoi. And even more so Haiphong. Destroying that port would have choked off the massive supply chain of Soviet weapons and gear.

When dealing with ISIS, the Russians are doing it only effective way.

Sure, there is a lot of collateral damage. It is like removing a termite infestation from a large frame building, especially after structural damage has been done. There are no neat ways to target the ISIS warriors only, they make a practice of assuring there are human shields between them and their enemies. Supposed to make the enemy feel bad about attacking them.

It works on Americans. Not so much on Russians.

Skilled propagandists in Australia.

” believe to be a thermobaric bomb” - No proof, just faith.
“ next to urban areas “ - how close. Texas is next to New Mexico, but it’s a mighty long drive from Beaumont to Santa Fe.
“ potentially devastating effects for civilians” - potentially, but not actually.
“similar to white phosphorus “ - Similar? What is it? And which international conventions.

Hannah and Cathy seem to be much more skilled than most of the American media propagandists. Probably good enough to work for Joe Goebbels.

We fire bombed Tokyo in WW II. Why didn’t we down the bomb on Tokyo. There was nothing left to bomb. Who is to say that they are civilians? They train 5 year olds to be warriors, killers and bombers. Hurray for Putin. I with the Russians again.

http://canadafreepress.com/article/democrats-believe-the-most-effective-weapon-against-terrorism-is-love “DEMOCRATS BELIEVE THE MOST EFFECTIVE WEAPON AGAINST TERRORISM IS LOVE”

Russians believe the most effective weapon against terrorism is incendiary/thermobaric.

We’ll see whether Russia gets more done in Syria than the limp-wrist terrorist in our White House accomplished.

From your link:

“Video footage has emerged showing the glowing showers of what is thought to be thermite raining down on a rebel-held suburb”

Puts a smile on my face.

“I wish we HAD carpet bombed Hanoi.”

We did. Read about Linebacker II. 3 solid days of SAC B-52s and F-111. Biggest bombing since WWII. They ran screaming back to Paris to sign whatever we wanted at the moment.
