The WaPo had very interesting coverage of this.

Apparently her attorney is arguing that she is being treated differently from other station employees (apparently of another race) who committed infractions but were not disciplined.

Apparently this includes some grotesque incidents of sexual harassment. The strategy appears to be to open the HR closet and dump all the dirt in open court. The station will probably settle.
