Police are hunting the person who allegedly pushed a male Warriors fan over a railing on the second deck at the Oracle Arena during game seven of the NBA Finals.
The man, in his early 20s, reportedly fell onto section 119 and suffered a neck injury.
He is now in a critical but stable condition.
A witness had tweeted that blood was coming out of the victims ears, TMZ reported.
According to a statement from Oracle Arena, the fall was the result of an altercation that took place after the game on Sunday between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors.
It said: Following tonight's basketball game, it was reported that there was a post-game altercation between fans that resulted in one individual falling over a railing.
The injured individual, a male in his early 20s, was immediately attended to by Arena personnel and paramedics and transferred to a nearby hospital.
The incident is being investigated by the Oakland Police Department. We are fully co-operating with them on this investigation.
