DETROIT (WJBK) - Coleman A. Young Municipal Center is on lockdown for a police situation. Detroit police tell FOX 2 officials believe a person is inside with a weapon.
Authorities say they are looking for a white man in his early to mid 50s, who is wearing a dark-colored suit.
No injuries have been reported. Wayne County sheriff's deputies and Detroit Police are on scene.
According to Detroit Police Chief James Craig, a suspect got through security with what's believed to be a handgun in a bag. Craig said the gun was in a bag that went through security screening but the weapon was not noticed until after the man had cleared security.
Craig said the image wasn't available in the scan until after the man got into the building.

Sounds more like a mistake than a crime.
Awful quick to point out it was a "white man". Could be a lighter complected middle easterner.
No doubt he drove up in a white van.
How do they know it was a real gun?
Security system didn’t work right if it detected the gun after it went through security and he got the clearance. I hope it was a honest mistake. Or maybe a test of the security system for some news show?

Sounds more like any day that ends with Y in Detroit.

Michigan State Police are also on scene redirecting traffic.

Well thank God and Kellog it hasn't gone off yet.
Include thanks to Kellog only if it turns out the packer hadn't upgraded, and wasn't packing a General Mills Toaster Strudel instead of the known-to-be-generally-safe Pop-Tart guns that frighten only school teachers, that is.
Those Toaster Strudels could be dangerous. Sneaky-dangerous, liable to make bold moves to take over everything at a moment's notice.
Strudel=German. German=could be Nazi regardless of how many strudels Merkel may have devoured.
It's no wonder the entire building was put in lockdown, and outside traffic diverted too. Can't be too careful, lest there be an unexpected FUBAR SNAFU instead of just the everyday governmentally imposed FUBAR SNAFU's.

The Coleman A. Young Municipal Center is a government office building and courthouse. The Wayne County Probate Court (along with other courtrooms) is in that building. Went there to file paperwork for my Dad’s estate. The building is swarming with middle-aged white guys in suits. Lawyers. Good luck finding the guy.
