No, it will be the nuclear option against the GOP.
If the GOP becomes an impediment to fixing our country (and this coup would signal that), then the only solution is to eliminate the Republican party so it can be replaced in a future election cycle.
That means removing ALL Republican office holders—from congress down to local dog catcher. A party without any officer holders is just a social club (ask the Libertarian party).
That does no mean sitting on your hands and not voting. It means working AGAINST the Republican candidate. It means voting for the candidate most likely to beat the Republican in EVERY race.
I hope it doesn’t come to that. The GOP has one last chance to survive in Trump.
Maybe you’re correct, but in your scenario, while we were waiting for a new party to coalesce, the Democrats would unimpeded single party rule at all levels of government.
A coalescing successor party to the GOP would find itself squeezed on all sides by the government and the media by a fully powerful single party.

I have made it clear to my Congressman and Senator, Attorney General and state candidates. If you don’t support Trump, loudly and vocally and put a stop to this nevertrump business I will vote against Republicans all the way down ticket, now and in the future.
