Back in my ‘Budweiser days’, I was running with a guy that had a false eye.

We would go into a ‘crowded bar’ and I would sort of elbow my way to the bar, order a couple of beers and we would talk loudly to get attention...
I would then loudly proclaim that I was going to the head. When enough people were looking, I would put a napkin over my bottle/can and tell my pard to

“Keep an eye on my beer”.

He would.

Bar would open up like the Red Sea....

Those were the ‘good’ old days...

One of his favorite lines would be to steal the ‘You are not talking into my good ear’ into a remark about getting in range of his ‘good eye’...
