In a Wednesday interview with Fox News’s Bill O’Reilly, House Speaker Paul Ryan made a demonstrably false declaration about his efforts to pause the Somali refugee program. During the interview, O’Reilly criticized Ryan for failing to message on immigration controls and asked Ryan specifically about the Somali refugee crisis in Minnesota.
O’Reilly: “We have a Somali problem up in Minneapolis-St. Paul. [We] have a problem there and those are refugees from Somalia. And if, God forbid, some refugee comes in and blows people up, it’s going to be grisly.”
Ryan replied by explaining that he passed a bill to pause the refugee program. Ryan said: “Right. Right. That’s why– just so you know that’s why we passed a bill pausing this refugee program, because we don’t think the refugee program works. That’s why we don’t want it to continue right now.”
However, Ryan did no such thing. The bill Ryan championed did not in any way pause the Somali refugee program– it applied solely to refugees from Syria and Iraq.

I seen the interview....he looked like he was stoned. Silly grin on his stupid face all through the questioning.
That was a useless interview. O’reilly was not hard enough on ryan and ryan was making one excuse after another. Excuses on why they didn’t do squat to stop obama. Ryan should have been ripped and was not... of course he would not come back if it was a hard interview... but just ONCE, give it to him... he has it coming..
With every answer and excuse, you could tell he doesn’t have a clue how to win the argument and he doesn’t know he has failed miserably! Those living in Washington have a different vocabulary, a different idea of the word ‘win’, and no idea that we are THIS angry at them.
The 3rd most-powerful man in the United States is a Gen Xer who probably watched ThunderCat cartoons in the 80s.

I thought O’Reilly was pretty tough, and I’m not a fan. But Ryan is a douchenozzle deluxe.

OReilly is generally alway a tough interview and does his homework. Most cower to the questions he asks. I like his interviews because he asks questions most won’t a Gilles up immediately when they dodge

Saw the BOR interview. Ryan appeared weak. Bill beat on him a few times re Kate’s Law...Can’t bear to glance in Ryan’s direction. The sight makes for physical illness.
