I have a lot of cognitive dissonance looking at that flag, but I’ve come to the conclusion this is a good development.
The left is starting to fracture, and it looks like Islamic terrorism is what will break it apart.
Unlike Europe, the American attitude holds independence and self defense high. The idea that we should sit back and just take it doesn’t sit well with that American attitude. IMHO, that’s what is behind this recent break of the gay community with the left.
Let’s hope that there are enough Americans steeped in American culture at this point to save us, because we’re on the fast track to becoming just another European country.
Plus with one Donald J. Trump having campaign for now one year as of today, the left is now in a death spiral.
Many of us have been saying this for a decade: the left has no unifying set of principles behind it. It’s just a coalition of special interest groups.
All anyone had to do is ask them if they were better off now than they were eight years ago, or even 30 years ago.
As for gays, while it is clear that they are better off from the standpoint of ‘rights’, anyone who suggests they are better off playing dead on the floor of a nightclub than taking aim behind the bar of that club and shooting back is crazy.
They have their rights already. If Trump pledges not to mess with those rights, they will vote against anyone suggesting they leave their ability to defend themselves up to the police.
Trump could win the gay vote.
As for blacks, the Mocha Messiah hasn’t done anything for them in eight years. Trump says he’ll put them to work.
Welfare ain’t making it.
The Ds used gays to push their agenda for years. Gays are narcissists, and rebels, by their very nature. They’ll do whatever is in their self-interest.
I’ll tell you what this does mean - the GOP is officially dead. I mean dead. McConnell and Ryan pushing anti-gun legislation? They are either fatally compromised to the point where they should retire to their number bank accounts and private islands or they should resign because they simply don’t know what they are doing.
