(CNN)President Barack Obama lands Thursday at the scene of the largest terror attack on U.S. soil since 9/11 buffeted by criticism that he doesn't understand the threat posed by radical Islam and hasn't done enough to protect the homeland.
When terrorists have struck during his presidency, Obama has typically reacted cerebrally and unemotionally, trying to ensure that reason triumphs over the fear and emotion of the moment even as critics such as Donald Trump assail it.
It's an approach that will be tested once again in Orlando as he tries to console Americans reeling from the dawn of a new era of mass casualty, lone wolf, homegrown terrorism that authorities have long feared.
There is a method to Obama's analytical response, namely that he believes it is the best way to neutralize a threat that preys on emotion and paranoia. While he typically offers prayers for the victims and their families and warns he will hunt terrorists wherever they are, the President often makes the point that terrorism in some form is an inevitable fact of modern life.
"I've said before, these lone actors or small cells of terrorists are very hard to detect and very hard to prevent. But across our government ... we are doing everything in our power to stop these kinds of attacks," Obama said Tuesday, leveling with the nation about the reality of homegrown terrorism. "We work to succeed 100% of the time. An attacker, as we saw in Orlando, only has to succeed once."
But this intellectual response to terrorism has also created a political opening that his opponents are exploiting, none more than the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

The weak spot in the Obama cult are the little minions that write pieces like these. We never attack them for their part, their lives are pain free so they flack for Obama, conservatives fall for the bait and in the end not even Obama is harmed.

To place the words “Obama” and “cerebral” in the same sentence is proof of the MSM’s proper place at the left end if the Bell Curve.

Zero’s strategy for dealing with Islamic violence is akin to treating an infection, say pneumonia, by killing one bacterium at a time. Perhaps even taking time ti Mirandize each along the way. Like curing a cancer by treating one cell at a time.
No physician would ever suggest such a strategy for accomplishing anything. How is it the supposed “leader of the free world” pursues such a strategy in waging a war for 8 years and he is still considered by ANYBODY to be a serious, thoughtful person?
Not only is liberalism a mental disorder but a very deadly disease that is more contagious than the flu with some particularly peculiar subset of 80 IQ types who believe themselves to be very smart. It is just the shoelaces thing that trips them up and it is the fault of the folks that make shoes.

I had my car in for a service appointment last week and I was FORCED to endure CNN (the Clinton News Network) while I waited. Finally in desperation to maintain my sanity, I started watching the car company's ads for bling on another monitor. CNN is nothing more than packaged crap!
