Moslem students and all other moslems are deliberately “misunderstood” by everyone in Government and on the Left and because of the left orientation of the MSM, by many citizens who are not politically minded. Read Islam’s primary literature- it isn’t terribly extensive- and understand moslems including moslem students.

Moslems? Some are OK but one cannot know which ones are OK. The Imam can call on any Moslem to perforem an act of righteous martyrdom and a Moslem either complies or incurs opprobrium from his Imam and community. He also faces the loss of Paradise if he does not follow through. Ordinary Moslems are much more concerned with the afterlife than are most cultural Christians.
There is no forgiveness for an apostate or a homosexual other than for an act of Martyrdom.

My son's HS valedictorian is muslim.

During his speech, he made the typical lame jokes about homework and cafeteria food. He thanked those students going into the military for their service in "protecting our great nation." (full applause) Then he thanked the school community for being so welcoming and accepting of his religion. (full applause)

He then went on to say that he would never vote for a person who would deny people entrance to the US based on their religion. (about a quarter of the audience applauded, the rest were completely silent)

He never condemned the violence done in islam's name, and was one sentence away from me standing up and turning my back on him.

At the conclusion of his speech, about a quarter of the audience gave him a standing ovation. The rest of us sat there with our hands on our laps. Very tense.

Philly suburbs. School is rated in the top 6% nationally. Re the military students: 1 going to West Point, 1 to the Naval Academy, 1 to the AF Academy, 3 to Navy/Marine ROTC, 3 Army ROTC, and 2 Army enlistees. GOP school board members, the district always goes GOP in elections.

This kid either doesn't understand what his religion really stands for, or is blind to it. He may be the equivalent of the "Christian" student who goes to church on Christmas and Easter, but couldn't recite the 10 commandments or quote the bible. Maybe islam will become diluted in the US.
