They need foot soldiers in their war to overthrow Western Civilization, and gays just aren't going to cut it.
Besides, the Left's women are secretly revolted by the feminized men on their team and they fantasize about what Muslim men might want to do to them...after being properly socialized and bought off with welfare benefits, of course. :)
