When I run into wiberals who talk about open borders I always ask them if they leave their house open when they go to bed and if not, why not? Then why should leave the doors on the U.S. open without controls.

Excellent speech, good ideas to combat ISIS threat and combat radical Islam... contrast with Obama solution, Take guns away from law abiding citizens...

My first thought when I saw this post. I remembered he promised a major speech focused on Hilary for today.

If you’re implying that this was staged for Hillary’s benefit, it didn’t help.

The immigration laws of the United States give the President the power to suspend entry into the country of any class of persons that the President deems detrimental to the interests or security of the United States, as he deems appropriate. I will use this power to protect the American people. When I am elected, I will suspend immigration from areas of the world when there is a proven history of terrorism against the United States, Europe or our allies, until we understand how to end these threats.

There it is! Love it! Whine you &%tch liberal press.

"Trump is not a polished speaker but this was a good speech."

I am no expert, but like many I have had to take the obligatory H.S. and College speech classes, and actually did well at it. So, IMHO, his diction, pentameter, pronunciation and emphasis, were quite good for someone who doesn't claim to be a politician. Using both screens of the teleprompter I took note of as well.

By the time of the convention he will be good enough without over-practicing and might even peak, "during the playoffs" if you will.

Wouldn't surprise me if he has a coach and is on track of a game plan.

Oh ya, it was a Great speech!

Why does Hillary Clinton want to bring people here—in vast numbers—who reject our values?

Simple Donald. Because they will vote for the Rats to keep them in power

That is paramount and worth more than life itself to these demon spawn from Hell.

“Immigration is a privilege.”

That is the essence of the difference between the Bill of Rights and the List of Entitlements. To them, immigration is a right.

Communists want all the so-called positive rights of government-mandated entitlements to replace the so-called negative rights that are our inalienable God-given rights.

Rats - Bring the Koranic scum and Mexican offal here purely to vote for them, and using the money of citizen patriots who they want to destroy.

This is truly unprecedented, a total reboot of both immigration and foreign policy. It makes zero sense to keep fighting these savages while letting them come into our nation. That’s what the Bill Kristol-types want: Endless war and endless attacks here at home.

“Look folks, when bad people get murdered by other bad people, it doesn’t make them suddenly good. It makes them DEAD.” Ann Barnhardt

I have been a Trump supporter since the day he came down the escalator and am backing his presidential run to the hilt. I see no other choice, given the alternatives. But I am circumspect concerning his speech today because of the way he appeared to paint the homosexuals who were murdered as martyrs to the cause of freedom. We must remember that the homosexuals in this country are responsible for a great deal of harm to Christians who decry sodomite behavior. Homosexuals in this country are, themselves, guilty of oppressive action. Such lunacy as the mainstreaming of homosexual practices, such as homosexual “adoption”, homosexual “marriage”, and the “transgender” insanity being forced on an unwilling community, are not worthy of support. Trump’s approach seemed to want to legitimize the aberrant behavior of homosexuals as “just another lifestyle”. This thinking confuses the problem of national security caused by the Moslem and Hispanic invasions by conflating these legitimate security concerns with the kind of moral and ethical society we want to build that may, indeed, be averse to homosexual preferences. As an American, and a veteran, I can say that I would not be willing to fight and die for some sort of latter day Roman bacchanalia, complete with every kind of perversion and paganistic practice that has led to the debauchery and degeneracy of our society at large. I maintain that Trump could have framed this issue with greater clarity.

Anyone know why no one would appear to have been carrying at this Orlando Gay Club? Florida does issue concealed carry permits.

Did the club prohibit guns? Or are homosexuals so left that they don't believe in self-defense?

Great analysis. Strong speech, but I worry that his relentless defense of the LGBT community might turn off his critical evangelical base and other Christian conservatives!
The timing could prove problematic, especially coming off his appearance last Friday before the Faith and Freedom Coalition which garnered enthusiastic praise from Ralph Reed.
I admit I take a rather dim view of these individuals and chosen lifestyles. Still, no one should be persecuted and targeted for death over their sexual practices.
Again, I generally applaud Trump’s remarks today—but wish he had not exalted these people to such an extent!
I pray it will not erode his religious support.

This morning on the Today interview with Trump, Savannah Guthrie asked Trump about his Muslim ban: “It would not have stopped the Orlando killer!!!”

But, as she is too stupid to figure it out, it would prevent future importation of terrorists.

Also, evidently, the producer, when he gave her a copy of the questions he wanted her to ask, evidently said: “When you quote the tweet:

“Appreciate the congrats for being right on radical Islamic terrorism, I don’t want congrats, I want toughness & vigilance. We must be smart!”

—stop at the end of the “radical Islamic terrorism” and do NOT allow him to repeat the rest of the tweet in explanation; step on his words so he can’t finish the quote.”

She did.

That is the best speech I’ve ever read. It’s like a clean spring rain after years of drought. I wish I could have watched it, but my hillbilly internet is so limited it’d use up half my monthly allowance.
