I let an Indian doctor put stents in me and almost died during the procedure. Four days later I was in an ambulance because he had put the stents in wrong.
I was telling this to a black lab tech one day and I told him “I didn’t feel good about using that doctor but I didn’t want to appear to be racist.”
The black lab tech said “Be racist. Don’t ever let them dudes operate on you. Find an American doctor.”
Years ago when Indian doctors first appeared here in NJ (before the rest of India came as well) a friend hurt his hand in a serious accident in Port Elizabeth. His friends took him to the local hospital where an Indian doctor wanted to amputate the hand. They took him to another hospital where an American doctor fixed it instead.
