Sorry about my initial reply. I thought it was so heavily dripping with sarcasm that I didn’t need the tag.
Our government is killing the use of coal in the US. It is a key component of steel making. Yet we blame China for the demise of US steel making. Our government is now trying to kill natural gas which is the alternative to coal for energy. NG is also a key component of many plastics made in this country. So when the plastics industry is dying in his country we will once again blame China.
In the 70’s the EPA drove the US auto industry into the hands of the Japanese via the idiotic mileage standards. Sugar tariffs are killing the US confectionary industry.
I get aggravated with my FR friends who take the bait and go after China, Mexico, greedy business, etc. and ask for heavy handed government intervention t solve the problems our government first created.
