You can in some states. In Arizona you can if you have a concealed carry permit and the firearm is concealed.

you can in Colorado too. looked up Florida law and in Colorado we can conceal carry in a lot more places than in Florida. i have legally carried in a restaurant bar while waiting for a table HOWEVER i do not drink when carrying period. not even 1 glass of wine with dinner. if i am going out drinking with friends, the gun stays home.

In the old west, the staff and owners were instead armed... and the guy at the door, who oversaw who got in and performed the gun check... ALSO was supposed to walk onto the floor area with his firearm and discharge it as needed or required.

not the state or territory law. just common sense for protection of the owner and the guests... the drunks were “supervised” and “chaperoned” by the armed owner, his staff and the local sheriff or tin star...

it was NOT a gun free zone.
