Forcibly outing a man as gay is a sickening violation of human decency, but how fortunate and poetic that the victim had the means and desire to retaliate.

And retaliate he did. Big time. When Hogan sued Gawker for publishing a sex tape on its website, Thiel financed the case and a few more in order to bleed Gawker dry, ruthlessly crafting the litigation in a way that would ensure the website’s insurance couldn’t foot the bill.

Weep not for Gawker. It was not a pillar of journalism. It was a refuge for refuse.

Lefties vs. lefties.

A pox on both their houses.

Gawker had no redeeming social value. It deserved to die.

Theil was expert and tenacious in execution.
I don’t hear a lot of that gratuitous ‘outing’ going on these days. Maybe because it’s less of an issue. Regardless of frequency, that is still someones private life that is being exposed and forever changed in a negative way.Gawker is lucky Theil has chosen such civilized means of revenge as via courtrooms and the American legal systems. Other parties may have been far more direct, far more lethal in making their anger known.

Are you forgetting exactly what “gay,” is?

For you to use the phrase “violation of human decency” in defense of sodomy is indicative of just how far we’ve fallen.

2016 Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection
On June 10, 2016 Gawker filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, and reports suggested that the company may be negotiating with potential buyers, including a stalking horse offer from Ziff Davis for “under $100 million”.

Thiel had an ax to grind. He ground it with his money. Appears to be legal. OK with me.
