'There is no money left, bye!': Russian PM causes social media storm

Russian Prime Minister Dmitriy Medvedev has whipped up a storm on Russian social media for an off-the-cuff comment he made to a Russian pensioner last month.

Medvedev was caught on camera telling an elderly woman in Crimea, a region annexed by Russia from Ukraine in spring 2014, that there was "no money left" in Russia's budget when he was asked why the state pension of 8,000 Russian rubles a month (around $125 a month) was not higher given the rising cost of living.

"There just isn't any money now. When we find money, we'll make the adjustment," Medvedev replied to her in a video of the incident which was uploaded onto YouTube, before adding a line of encouragement: "But be strong. I wish you all the best. Have a good day and take care!"

Sounds like Obama's America. Yes, found it on Yahoo after reading Obama Covering For Hillary - Oops, I meant, Obama Endorses Hillary.

When is the next bailout? I could use one after 7.5 years of Obama.

The difference is that Russia is pouring money into its military.

Obama imports more illegals and Muslim refugees

Well, now Iran has become the recipient of $150 billion dollars (thanks, Obama and Corker Bill folks).

So they can purchase more weapons in the future.

What could possible go wrong?

Oh yeah, Ezekiel 38.

Obama wants more men in women’s bathrooms, too.

An agenda supported by Hillary Clinton.

Yet the stupid want to vote for Hillary.

Go figure.

According to Forbes, there are 171 million households (individuals and families) in the US and 45% of those pay income tax. That would mean Obama's gift to Iran cost taxpayers an average of $1600.

Kind of a tone-deaf comment, and the pensions do need to go up, but we are missing a critical piece of information:

Current Ukranian typical pension ~= $25/month. Current pension that she complains about ~=$125/month. So, this lady's pension multiplied approximately 5x when Crimea joined Russia.

Well yes, that is quite a problem... if not a bigger problem than the 150b. Over 320m people so 171m households seems about right. That only half of those pay taxes is horrible. Without any data, you would optimistically assume at least 70% paid taxes.

Russia’s economy depends largely on oil revenues, and oil is cheap.

I don’t like the deal, but the money came from Iran’s reserves here, not from the Treasury.
