Guess what? The makeover is going to start maybe June 20 and take 2 to 3 weeks. We have no idea what it will look like as we are mushrooms. But, boxes will be delivered the 16th, and we pack up. Boxes for our everyday needs, and other boxes that we can live without for a couple weeks.
They did say we would have some walls to cut down on the noise for phone calls. I am really looking forward to that.
Yes, VERY creepeh!
So they’re actually going to do it? WOOHOO!!!
Where are they going to put you for the duration? Any idea?
Busy, busy, busy, lining up this weekend’s previews of the chamber music festival. Little things keeping me busy.
Evening, Kathy! (Or is there much an evening now, with the summer solstice?)
We are going to the exact opposite end of the floor. I guess they have some space for “visiting” employees.
Picture a hockey rink...you are standing on one of the short sides. Now we are in the corner to your right. Start walking along the long side....first place is the break room. Keep going and you pass the Board Room about half way to the next corner. Start turning left for the other short side. We will be somewhere near the middle of that short side. Keep walking to the next “corner”. That is reception and mail room. Turn onto the second long side. Offices and then half way are the elevators and restrooms. Keep walking, passing more offices and the final turn back to original short side where we started. ALL offices and restrooms are only accessible with a card key. Everything is behind locked doors. The freight elevator is right outside our current, and future, space. It requires a card key for it to stop at the 4th floor.
Puppy is sure glad to see Dad. LOL!
Good evening, Luv...great picture. And we won’t forget them.
Oh no on the neck....take good care of it.
I’m fighting with the insurance folks now to get new injections in my knees. “They” don’t think they do much good. For me they were terrific! Things have finally settled down after the work move, so I’m finding a new orthopedic guy to see what else might be offered.
You will have a great line-up as usual! You work way harder than the rest of us! :)
It always makes me smile! The doggie’s ears say it all. :)
Happy, flappy ears!
At least they have somewhere to put you while they do the work, and it isn’t on a different floor. I hope the new setup will turn out to be a good one. Y’all could sure use a break!
Do the other elevators require a key card, too, or just the freight one? Y’all don’t need the punks getting up to your floor. They seem to cause enough trouble downstairs as it is.
Good evening, Mooch....
Sunrise is at 4:23a and Sunset is 11:33pm
We add about 5 minutes of daylight a day til mid July.
Are you having a nice spring and heading into summer?
Thanks, unique, for the woohoo!
radu.....#50!!
The day we had 2 fire alarms they said one was pulled on our floor. They say the main elevators are “key free” 8a-5p. I don’t really know for sure. They can’t get into the bathrooms or any office spaces.
Well poo! That’s not good.
Too bad y’all had to move out of the other place. This one sure isn’t ideal, is it?
No, not ideal...but it is what it is. My tentative plan is work about 18 more months and then retire. But if this gets where I really don’t like it I can retire any time I want.

Guess we’ll see how things go this summer with the kids out of school, huh?
Maybe after the fire alarm episode, mall security will be more on the ball and keep a closer eye on the kids.
Then I am going to be REALLY unhappy!
