Military chaplains call on base to renew speaking invitation to outspoken former Army general

A group of military chaplains is calling for an about-face after a base in Kansas disinvited retired Army Lt. Gen. William Boykin from a prayer breakfast due to his religious beliefs.

The Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty sent a letter to Maj. Gen. Wayne Grisby, commander of the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, calling on him to reinstate Gen. Boykin’s invitation.

The chaplain advocacy group said the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, which demanded the general be disinvited due to his religious beliefs, has no right to dictate whom the base hosts.

“Maj. Gen. Grisby should reinstate the invitation to Lt. Gen. Boykin to let the members of his command know that members of his command know that members of the military can make their own decisions about who they want to listen to concerning matters of faith,” said Ron Crews, executive director of Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty, in a statement.

Mr. Crews called the disintivation “dishonorable and without any legal foundation.”

Good for the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty and if Maj. Gen. Wayne Grisby has any guts he'll tell Mikey Weinstein and his "weepers" to take a hike.

Sure had to do a lot of reading before you could find out what the religious beliefs actually were.

So much for religious freedom.

You see the men praying on their ships and landing craft just before heading ashore on 6 June 1944; kind of makes you wonder what those men would do with this Mikey Weinstein character.
Over the side comes to mind.

Today’s command staff is a bunch of OBASTARD appointed pussies; now days I would advise any young man to steer clear of any branch of the military.
After 8 years of OBASTARD, anybody with more than 2 bars on their shoulders is a queer, lesbian, or one of the other alphabet soup grievance groups.
Really surprised the Chaplains spoke up about this.

If Grisby had any guts he wouldn’t have disinvited a retired Lieutenant General who was speaking on matters of faith at a religious and not a secular event.

LTG Boykin is the founder of Delta Force, a significant general in the history of the US military, and a man of deep personal faith.

Since the invitation is regarding faith, there is absolutely no problem legally unless this MG Grisby himself decides to break the law and require his troops to attend.

Well said my FRiend, couldn’t agree more.

His caving to the wishes of someone like Weinstein in the first place makes him suspect that he could be a product of this administration.
