Conservative MP at the centre of a love triangle said he wished he had never hired the blonde assistant with whom he had an affair because of the “grief” it had caused.

Steve Double, 49, a former pastor, told The Telegraph he had dumped his lover, who is 23-years his junior, by telephone last week after news of the relationship began to circulate.

Full Title: "'I'd never have hired her if I'd known the grief it would cause': Married MP on blonde aide who became his lover"

Seems as though Mr. Double got caught for two-timing.

Notice how it’s never their fault? Just a victim of circumstance.

He regrets hiring her because of the grief it caused, but not because it led to him betraying his vows and betraying his wife?

If he doesn’t want that wife, I’ll take her.

Yeah, it’s always the woman’s fault. Never the man’s and certainly not if he’s a preacher and that goes double for a country’s leader. For a preacher, he’s not well versed in the 10 Commandments.

You’re right, her eyes don’t look symmetric.

His wife is an attractive woman; neat, clean-looking.
Of course, when you wear glasses; they like to pin the
nickname “4 Eyes” on you. I grew up having to wear glasses.
His girlfriend ain’t nothing special in the looks depart-
ment - no glasses & an inch of eyeliner & mascara.
“Natural” blondes are few & far between, as I’m sure he’s
found by exploring. (If it hadn’t been that skank, it would
have been another skank.)

She looks like the Carrie Mathieson character in “Homeland” in full manic, strung-out mode.

“That young one has ‘crazy eyes.’”

She sure does if she saw ANYTHING attractive about him .. beyond the power being an MP bestows. You see in Washington DC, eveb the homeliest of creatures who have a powerful position always attract young, naive girlfriends. Witness Bill and Monica.

Does he regret doing you know what with her??

Seems to me he could have hired her, had her do the job, but not gone for the extra curricular activities, and everything would have been fine. Maybe I’m missing something.

I don’t think hiring her is what caused the grief, but I could be wrong.
