If something happened to allow the superdelegates to bolt from HRC, I can only imagine the scene from the Wizard of Oz, where the Wicked Witch’s soldiers cheered when they learned of her death. Of course, the question is ... now what?
Bernie needs to run as the Socialists’ party candidate.
Venezuela needs a new leader. And it won’t take any effort to do to that country what he wants to do to the US. He should check if they require the president to be a natural born citizen.
He might consider emigrating to Venezuela.
His brand of insanity is much valued there.
What Bernie is doing makes perfect sense to me.
Why should he be the good Democrat and roll over for the common good when at heart (and technically) he is an independent? He caucuses with them, but have they given him committee appointments?
He’s a true believer. He thinks Hillary will f’ up a golden opportunity to further transform the USA just as he thinks Chavez and Maduro screwed up socialism in Venezuela. They just didn’t do it hard enough.
He’s 74... this is his one golden chance at his dream of making the society around him works the way he thinks it should. It’s a cosmic case of Asperger’s.
He’s just got to play out the string, and make it about the corrupt system unpledged, corrupted delegates.
