Gun "buy backs", actually gun turn in evernts, are mostly hanging on where private sales are essentially banned.
The push for universal background checks is a push to ban private sales.
If a sale is recorded by the government, it is not private any longer.

‘The event was advertised as accepting guns anonymously, no questions asked. This seems to violate Massachusetts law. There may be an exemption for police.’
May? Either there is or isnt. If not then why are they allowed to proceed? Either we’re governed by a uniform application of the law or not. Anymore it seems not.

I’ll take the S&W J frame in the center and the Colt detective’s special just below it. Giftwrapped.

A few smart people decided that it was worth $200 in exchange for old junk guns that cost less than $100 new in box. I’ve got a few old junkers I’d love to sell to some chump for $200.

The whole state is a bust. I only go to Mass. to hit the VA in West Roxbury once or twice a year. Other than that, I avoid it.

Brockton was slowly becoming a depressing cesspool thirty years ago. It was an early victim of unchecked welfare immigration (Cape Verde, Haiti, Dominican Republic, etc.). If certain elements in that city were eliminated, it wouldn’t be such a bad place.

Three classic Colts and at least 1 Smith and Wesson destined for the scrap heap. Very sad.
