Exactly. It was a really nasty primary season, and a lot of that nastiness was initiated by Trump. He’s now the presumptive nominee, and the party is uniting behind him in spite of an exceptionally bitter fight. I’d say it would be in the best interest of Trump’s supporters to welcome the acquiescence and support of his former opponents without directing a bunch of bullshit at them.

“a lot of that nastiness was initiated by Trump”

Please. He is a counter puncher. And a damn good one at that.

Not a Chance! The only way it works is for Cruzers to admit to the rest of us that they were seriously mislead, and that they are sorry for their relentless attacks in support of that worthless turd!

Kasich is a Democrat who pretends to be a Republican. The truth hurts.

I liked vette6387’s responce to your post, so I decided to simply quote his.

I live in Texas, Ted Cruz is my senator, and I still support him in that role. When Trump is the nominee, I’ll vote for Trump.

But if Trump doesn’t win, then I (and most likely dozens and dozens of others) will be ready to quote the Trump-Zealots on FR who made it clear that Cruz supporters were not wanted, welcome or needed.

Truth is that every vote is needed, and it would be nice if the ZOT police started cracking down on people who reject former Cruz/other voters just as much as they crack down on the NeverTrumps. This thread has a few great examples of what shouldn’t be tolerated anymore (in my own opinion, of course).

Whine made from sour grapes never comes out good.

Trump countered and countered well - he came out cleaner than any of his opponents, and those who now "come around" are thinking of their own political skins.

We can enjoy the "support" without thinking the twit has actually had a change of heart - he worked really hard with Cruz to cause disunity for so long we can consider this as a partial penance/atonement. The question is whether Cruz will be next to try to mend his ways and come out strong for a unified win or keep sulking. Ryan has "come around" with a back-handed slap approach and the ones who really want to win this thing are being more supportive w/o bowing to those who laid so many mines to stop our unification.

Kasich ran on a liberal platform - may he rot in hades.
