Portland has become a hellhole made by left wingers with zero tolerance for anyone daring to question their left wing dogmas.

One of our younger relatives just celebrated his 10th year escape from Portland. He is a conservative independent, who doesn’t believe in free lunches and socialism. He has long list of people like him, who left the Portland area to get way from the left wingers.

A couple, who are among our closest friends are best described as a cross between old democrats and conservative independents had a similar experience with their daughter and SIL. The young couple was still growing out of their 30 something liberalism, when their SIL got a teaching offer in Portland. Their daughter was between jobs, and they loved to visit the Portland area with its great outdoor activities.

A year later, they moved back. She could never find a good job. Her husband said that his teaching peers were basically communists, and their religion was Gorebal warming. They told our younger relative, they should have listened to him. He is a good writer, and I suggested that he should write a book like how we escaped from the liberal hellhole, Portland, Or..shortened title, “Escaping from Liberal Portland”!

We just got back from Portland a couple of weeks go. Leftists are streaming in from all over. Housing prices are going through the roof. Tent cities EVERYWHERE. I saw the sun shine maybe twice. But the worst part was the haughty pretentiousness of the inhabitants. Portlandia has it nailed. One week was enough.

Oregon's situation is no different than other states plagued with liberal hellholes that dominate their legislatures by sheer numbers: California, Washington, Illinois, and New York are the most blatant examples. Most of the rural areas of all these states are conservative. To lesser extents, Missouri, Nevada, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Virginia, North Carolina, and Minnesota are plagued with uber-liberal big cities.
