Bull, Russia attacks al-Nusra aka al-Qaeda all the time and because they are mixed with the Syrian rebels are the bigger threat.

ISIS is near the Iraqi border in the middle of nowhere and is a low priority in Syria. The anti-Russian nuts like you always leave out mention al-Nusra aka al-Qaeda. The al-Qaeda and Syrian rebels need to be beaten first in the west of Syria so they rear can be clear to attack ISIS in the east.

You don't know what you are talking about. In the last year Russia has been cozying up to Azerbajan and playing them off each other. Of course, Armenia joined the Eurasian Union. They have no other nation than Russia to go to for protection. But lately they have been getting increasingly nervous about Russia and Azerbajan. They even put out a statement last year as veiled threat to Russia, that of they sided with Azerbajan and there was a war between the two countries, it would go "full Syria" on Russia. Russia sold hundred of tanks to Azerbajan, armored vehicles, artillery, and mortar systems to Azerbajan in the last two years. What do you think Armenia thinks of that? Russia has been creating oil joint ventures with Azerbajan.

Prime Minister Abrahamyan has publicly complained about the status or Russia's loyalty to Armenia, and friendship to Azerbajan. Wouldn't he be in a better position to know hos country's situation than you?

As the Pentagon warily eyes a Russian military build-up in Syria, Western intelligence sources tell Fox News that the escalated Russian presence began just days after a secret Moscow meeting in late July between Iran's Quds Force commander - their chief exporter of terror - and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Fox News has learned Quds head Qassem Soleimani and Putin discussed such a joint military plan for Syria at that meeting, an encounter first reported by Fox News in early August. ..."

The Quds Force is the international arm of Iran's Revolutionary Guard, involved in exporting terrorism to Iran’s proxies throughout the Middle East including Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen. ..."

Officials who have monitored the build-up say they've seen more than 1,000 Russian combatants - some of them from the same plainclothes Special Forces units who were sent to Crimea and Ukraine. Some of these Russian troops are logistical specialists and needed for security at the expanding Russian bases.

I haven’t seen anything in ISIS that matches the quality, discipline, and fanaticism of the Japanese soldier circa WWII. Isis mainly has an outsized reputation based upon extreme cruelty to helpless people. I cannot think of a fight with any normal military where their military prowess was on display. they are little more than a street gang running a city.

So far, the previous version, Al-Qaeda I'm Iraq proved to be tougher. They dug in Fallujah back in '04 and we took heavy casualties taking the city.
