I did some quick research. hillary got 51% of the CA primary vote in 2008, compared to Obama's 43%. Why did she back out then? I can think of three possibilities: bad judgement, a reverse-racist refusal to fight for the nomination against a "black", or a deal that she was in line for the nomination in eight years. So now she's entitled.

I will contend the hillary has lost if she has less CA support than she did eight years ago.

Hillary dropped out in 2008 because Dem superdelegates turned against her.
