The United States has approved 4,700 Syrian refugees who are awaiting resettlement to the country, while an additional 7,900 are awaiting security review, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said on Thursday.

I wrote Jim Sensenbrenner, normally a pretty good GOP from my district in WI. I was so DISGUSTED with his answer.... summing up his multiple paragraph answer:
I tried to get it through....... gee whiz golly, it didn’t pass, we tried, it was attached to something...... gee whiz golly.... it might come up again in 2017.
